The checkmark next to a creator's name means OnlyFans has verified that the account belongs to a real, adult person who passed its identity checks. Getting one is part of becoming a creator, and the process is the same for everyone.
What the checkmark means
When a creator account is approved, a checkmark appears beside the display name. To fans, it signals two things:
- The person behind the account has verified their identity and age with the platform.
- The account is an approved creator account, able to set a subscription price and receive payments.
That is all it signals. It is a verification badge, not a ranking.
How to get verified
The steps, at the time of writing, are roughly these. OnlyFans adjusts its flow from time to time, so follow the prompts on screen.
- Create an account and verify your email. Use an email address you will keep long term.
- Complete your profile. Add a profile picture, banner, display name and bio.
- Verify your identity. Upload a valid government ID and take a live selfie so the platform can match your face to the document. You must be 18 or older.
- Add payout details. Enter your bank or payout information in your own legal name.
- Wait for review. Approval often comes within a few days, though it can take longer.
Practical tips that prevent most delays:
- Photograph the physical ID in daylight with all four corners visible and no glare.
- Take the selfie facing a light source, without a hat or sunglasses.
- Make sure the name on your ID and your payout account match exactly.
If your application is rejected
Rejections happen, and you can reapply. Before you do:
- Check the ID photo and selfie for blur, glare or cropping.
- Confirm your document is valid and unexpired.
- Fill in every empty profile field.
- Read the Terms of Service and remove anything that conflicts with them.
If you are still rejected after fixing the obvious problems, contact support through the OnlyFans Help Center with your username, the date you applied and what you changed. Do not open new accounts while you wait; duplicates make reviews harder.
What the checkmark does not mean
- It is not a popularity score. A brand-new creator with no subscribers has the same checkmark as an established one.
- It does not guarantee an account is who it claims to be on other platforms. Impersonators sometimes copy a creator's photos to a different username. Fans should follow the link from the creator's official social profiles rather than searching by name.
- It does not exempt anyone from the rules. Verified accounts follow the same Terms of Service as everyone else.
For creators, the practical lesson is to link your OnlyFans directly from every official profile, so fans always land on the real account.
The pitch. Inflowwww is not a way around verification or a ban; read the disclaimer before running anything on a live account.
